at Catburglars we have created the perfect retreat for fishermen,
situated on the banks of the River Ebro, accommodation can be selected
to suit your requirements. We have the keep it simple option with bivvys situated next to the river, ready for that quick response to
those ever buzzing alarms. We also have chalet accommodation for those
that prefer their home comforts. There is breakfast included in all
our packages and lunch and evening meals can be supplied at a small
additional cost.
We also have the luxury of a swimming pool to cool down after a long
days fishing. This is not just fishing this is Catburglars fishing, we
are the only riverside venue to have a swimming pool at your disposal.
You are only a few minutes drive away from the village of Riba Roja,
which offers a small selection of bars, restaurants and shops, just
6km away is the bigger town of Flix for those looking for more
amenities including its own 24 hour medical centre, supermarkets and a
twice weekly market.
About the area:
For those wishing to explore this beautiful region much of the
surrounding land forms part of a nature reserve and there are many
protected species of flora and fauna and birds such as eagle owls,
black kites and vultures to name but a few are frequent visitors,
further a field there is a train station in Riba Roja which has direct
links to Barcelona, Zaragoza and Reus which is moments away from Salou
for entertainment of a different kind!! So why not contact us

The
municipality of Riba-roja d'Ebre, like the rest of La Ribera
d'Ebre, is extremely well-connected, with roads linking all the towns
and villages in the area. As regards connections to places further
afield, the C-230 is the main road from Tortosa to Lleida, linking up
at Ma d'Ebre with the N-420 from Alcany to Reus.
In addition to this excellent road network, Riba-roja d'Ebre has a
station on the Zarragoza-Tarragona-Barcelona railway line.
By road, Riba-roja d'Ebre also has a regular bus service linking it to
the other municipalities in the area, as far as Mora d'Ebre, linking
up with the Tortosa-Lleida service.
The nearest airport is Reus which has regular Ryan Air flights from as
little as 10 each way. There is also the recently-opened TGV
high-speed train line from Lleida to Madrid.

Never caught a zander before, not through the want of trying. fished
for them loads of times on the Thames, loads of times through the
night only ever had pike don't get me wrong not complaining but im
desperate very first cast on the Ebro my first zander, Dan took me out
on the boat ,told me where to put my lure 60 seconds later zander's
back in the water, Dan says were heading back to catburglars to to do
some real fishing. real fishing???? I’ve had my zander, which ive
waited four years and twenty secs to catch and so im happy i can go
home and tell everyone yeah its good! Second day up early Dan's
setting up all the rigs chucking loads off bait out armed with bacon
sarnies and a cup of tea, tells me where to put my baits, two intense
days later ive had 30 odd carp up to 32 pound and 8 cats up to 60
,unbelievable, had two hook straightened while Dan was on the bank
with me, definitely 100lb plus. if you have always gone to France for
big fish ,don't waste you're time or money…go to catburglars. thanks
