Insuring your fishing Tackle.
Add up the cost of replacing your fishing tackle - fishing rods, reels, tackle
boxes and everything else you own - you will be surprised at what it
works out at. Most anglers acquire their fishing tackle over a number
of years, with some of it, like a rod or a reel, a favourite, and some
of it may not be replaceable.
Most anglers will keep their
fishing tackle in a garage or garden shed and maybe think it's
automatically covered under your home contents insurance. This is not
always the case and if it is you may find there is a limit of how much
you can claim for, usually a couple of thousand pounds.
your fishing tackle while your on holiday is a good idea as well
because some specialist insurance policies also insure you against any
potential legal liability arising from accidents such as catching someone with a hook.
