The local fishing is excellent, birdlife is plentiful and there are
relaxing walks to be found along the banks of the River Inny all
designed to make your stay an enjoyable one.
With boats for hire only a few hundred meters away you can take a slow
trip around the many Islands that populate Lough Ree or drift along
some of the hidden pools within the reed beds.
Fishing is always a major attraction for this area as the local
river is teeming with fish, many large Pike, Bream, Hybrids, Roach and
Rudd have been caught, along with the Tench and Perch.
A Guillie service is available to help you find the best swims and
while of course fish can never be guaranteed there have been some
truly amazing catches with hauls into the 300lb+ mark.

Fishing and Boat Hire
Both the River Inny and
Lough Ree offer excellent fishing opportunities.
With
swims along its bank, the River has an excellent stock of Roach, Rudd,
Perch, Pike, Bream, Trout, Hybrids, Gudgeon and occasional Chub. Many
of our guests enjoy a quiet day or two fishing and whilst we can never
guarantee the fish will be there; we can assure you that when they are
about they come in large numbers.
Fishing Permits are available if required, we also offer all of the
latest information on the local Hot-Spots.
A full
range of fishing tackle shops can be found within the local area,
details provided upon arrival.
Bait fridge, tackle room and drying facilities are also available.
Boat Hire is also available to all of our Guests, there is no better
way to enjoy the stunning scenery than to take a boat out for a spin
either into the Lough or up the River Inny. We do always ask for a
certain amount of experience in handling small boats. All boats come
equipped with life jackets for your safety.
