Accommodation information:

Luxury Camping in the heart of rural Cornwall on the edge of historical Bodmin Moor and very close to Siblyback Lake and only twenty minutes to historic fishing port of Looe. We have three beautiful hand crafted yurts available from March to the end of October. They are fully furnished with king sized beds, modern oak furniture and they have wood burning stoves fitted to keep out the evening chill. There is a fully fitted kitchen with all mod cons in an adjacent barn for your use with leather sofas and excellent dinning facilities. There are also decked areas around the barn with BBQ and outside tables and chairs

We also accept group bookings so if you are looking for somewhere to book your fishing trip for you and your friends, accommodation for your annual fishing club outing or a group of you just want a break - give us a call.

Catered packages are also available for large groups.

We are centrally placed to enjoy a whole range of attractions including Eden Project [30 minutes by car] many beautiful beaches within a short drive and of course the windswept moors just a short walk away. The Adrenalin Quarry is very nearby with zip wire, hovercrafts and go karts, Sterts outdoor Theatre just 5 minutes by car and the historic ports of Looe and Polperro only 25 minutes by car.

Both Truro and Plymouth are within easy driving distance or you can take the little passenger ferry from Cawsand into the Barbican in Plymouth where the national Marine Aquarium is situated.

Directions:

Coming from Plymouth direction take the A38 towards Liskeard. Come off at the Island Shop Junction and follow the signs for Callington along the A390. About three miles out of Liskeard you will see the sign for Merrymeet Village. Turn left off the main road at Merrymeet and pass through the village heading towards the moor. Little Fursdon is exactly one mile from the turnoff on the left hand side of the lane. Pull in the driveway and you will see the car park immediately as you turn in the drive. Park at the top of the driveway.

There are various types of fishing in the area and within half an hours travel.
Nearby at Siblyback lake there is top quality rainbow trout fishing and on the river Fowey trout and salmon fishing (salmon - depending on time of year).
Coarse fishing for carp, roach, tench etc in the lakes and ponds.
Along the coast, just a short drive away, you will find excellent spots for sea fishing for beach and rock fishing.
In the ports, such as Looe, there are charter boats offering fishing trips for reef fishing, mackerel fishing, conger fishing and shark fishing. The shark fishing grounds are around 12 to 20 miles out in the English Channel and while waiting for a shark to take your bait some skippers will let you fish for other species such as mackerel, garfish or whiting. The Shark Angling Club of Great Britain is based in Looe, take a look at their website.

There is a well stocked angling tackle shop in the local town of Liskeard with rod hire and fresh bait on sale.
