Fishery Information :
Combe Bank Fishery is a beautiful 400 year old lake set in stunning
Kent countryside at the top of the Darenth valley. Originally this
venue was two smaller ponds but in 1745 was enlarged to form a
single larger lake that is split into two halves by a spit.
The fishery has been opened as a day ticket water for the first time
and recently stocked with fish to complement the existing ones
present. The fishery itself boasts a good head of Common and Mirror
carp to 28lb along with a mixture of various other coarse fish.
Combe Bank will appeal to both the young and old anglers.
COMBE BANK LAKE
Combe Bank Lake is approximately 7 acres and consists of two very
different halves. The first half of the lake is very mature with
lily pads and overhanging trees, bushes and other interesting
features. The depths in this half of the lake varies from two to
five feet.
The second half of Combe Bank Lake is deeper than the first and more
open. The margins vary from three to four foot and the
contoured bottom gives depths of eight feet in places. The centre of
the lake is gravel and six feet deep.
Overall the fishery is well stocked and boasts a good variety of
coarse fish with
many that have never been caught.

OLD SCHOOL POND
Old School Pond is around half an acre in size and is at the inlet
end of our fishery. Over the years the pond had become overgrown and
silted up to quite an extent and in the summer of 2016 we decided to
do something about. The silt accumulation over a couple hundred
years had built up almost to the surface and this had to be removed
using some long reach excavators. In total there were approximately
350 tonnes of silt removed. After removal of the silt the problem of
overgrown vegetation and trees were taken care of and new swims were
created. Taking some of the existing silver fish and small carp from
the main lake these were transferred into Old School Pond to make it
a pleasant little lake ideal for all anglers, young and old.
