Plough Angling Society river fishing Warwickshire
As a society with a mixture of match, pleasure and specialist anglers we seek to provide an environment where harmony is afforded, so please be aware of the following.
1. "Sky lining" and heavy foot falls can ruin another's sport so please approach and vacate swims with respect to others already fishing.

2. Bank management is the work party secretaries job, please do not carry out bank works of any type without checking with the work party secretary first.
This includes pruning branches, digging banks, making swims etc. You can fish between swims (except where wires are present) but do not ruin foliage!
3. During summer months, water temperatures and low oxygen levels can leave fish vulnerable, Barbel especially!

River Fishing in Warwickshire
Plough Angling Society
Resting fish in landing nets before and after capture for a few minutes greatly helps recovery, as does a minimum time out of the water for weighing, photographing etc.
6. Excessive baiting may not only ruin your own sport but that of others also. Please fish using sensible baiting levels.
5. Please use adequate, balanced tackle for your chosen quarry. Fishing in and amongst snags is not sensible. Try baiting above snags and drawing fish out!
Above all we, the society, are all paying members and all have equal rights to fish.

4. Keepnets are used in matches for obvious reasons, but large fish are better returned straight away. Please consider this when not fishing in a match.
The Barbel society has a very good code regarding this and detailed on their web site.
